Since the invention of their bulkier adidas superstar black and much newer LXCON , adidas Consortium has been touching on the past with an extremely careful hand, pushing out inspired silhouettes with their newest rerelease to be the aforementioned's much older brother: the Lexicon OG. While the current update featured toned down deconstructed elements of contrast stitching and a much bulkier stature, the original is heavily reminiscent of the surrounding design of its 1994 debut year, bringing about retro paneling along a classic color palette of white, black, and a deep purple. The latter comes expressive underneath the layered mudguards and constructed Three Stripes eyestays, with textural mesh  in varying knit size  add extra dimension to a shoe that surely needs no help.

Sole units are also much more stripped down in favor of lower profile aesthetic while staying true to the icon it draws from.The adidas Consortium label got its start in 2007 as just adidas superstar mens what its name would imply: a select group of collaborators who sought to take classic Three Stripes models to new heights of quality. The adidas Rivalry Lo returns in a couple of original colorways from the 1986 model whose hightop was one of Patrick Ewings adi-signatures. One of them rocks the familiar New York Knicks home look with orange and blue accents on a white field, while the other represents the team that repeatedly kept him from championship glory with a Chicago Bulls  away' palette. Available in either a white and royal or a black and grey, touches of gold hit the UNDFTD and ape head heel branding. The last two Superstar collabs adidas ultra boost herren round out the set with original Consortium partners D-Mop and Foot Patrol.

First up is the D-Mop edition, crafted by the Hong Kong retailer in premium white leather with red embroidery and blue suede detailing, and also featuring numerical codes stitched on the outer heel that reference significant dates and numbers to D-Mop. Closing the collection is the Foot Patrol x adidas Consortium Superstar, which presents the iconic shelltoe sneaker in a premium terracotta croc-embossed leather with Foot Patrol branding at each heel. Both collaborative versions of the adidas Consortium Superstar release at select Consortium retailers on February 14th, 2015.
